Yesterday I walked to Shipley Swamp as I often do. The people who take care of the Swamp and Nabnasset Lake, the adjacent pond, like to lower the water level to kill some invasive plants at this time of year. The beaver pool in the swamp is the only pool of water that isn’t very much affected.

Seems like the beavers might be smarter than the people in this case.

The stick in the water looked like a bird in flight to me so I made an image of it.
